Who We Are

The Energy Consultants Association (ECA) is the industry authority for energy consultants, brokers and third-party intermediaries (TPIs) across the UK.

We work to raise standards, support members and provide a trusted voice for the sector in discussions with regulators, policymakers and industry stakeholders.

Founded in 2023 as a call for fairer treatment and clearer standards, the ECA exists to raise the bar across the UK’s non-domestic energy brokerage market and give the sector a single, trusted voice.

We are an independent, not-for-profit that sets and enforces a mandatory code of conduct for members.

We foster direct collaboration between TPIs and energy suppliers, and advocate for the sector with regulators, including Ofgem.

Our members help businesses and organisations across the UK make better energy decisions, from procurement and risk management to sustainability and net zero.

The board is made up of experienced practitioners spanning compliance, technology, sustainability and customer advocacy.
